About

Emmanuel Ajanma is an accomplished Director of Technology who possesses a profound level of expertise and dedication in fostering and managing technology initiatives within K-12 educational environments. His unwavering commitment to enhance the learning experience for students and educators, by designing and executing forward-thinking technology strategies that align with district objectives, sets him apart in the field.

Ajanma commenced his role at Barre Unified Union School District in 2014, bringing with him over a decade of experience garnered from various non-profit organizations. As the Director of Technology for all Barre public schools within the BUUSD, he provides strategic leadership and vision. Ajanma’s journey at the district began in the capacity of a Technology Integration Specialist at Central Vermont Career Center, where he was instrumental in equipping both staff and students with the necessary skills to navigate emerging technologies that enrich teaching and learning experiences. His contribution to the creation of effective, technology-enriched, content-based lessons in partnership with educators is commendable. He has also piloted a one-to-one Chromebook program across all the courses.

Before his significant contributions to BUUSD, Ajanma facilitated numerous workshops and seminars for principals and educators within Vermont’s Catholic schools. He has held numerous key administrative roles within a variety of organizations in both Nigeria and the United States.

Ajanma holds notable accolades that include being a Google Certified Trainer, a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, COSN’s Certified Educational Technology Leaders (CETL) certification, and the Certified Cybersecurity Rubric Evaluator (CCRE). Further attesting to his diverse expertise, he has earned a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Marlboro College (now Emerson College) and Bachelor’s degree in Theology/Religion and in Philosophy, both awarded by the esteemed Pontifical Urban University, Rome, Italy.

Supervising a technology team of fifteen, recruiting, hiring, supporting, developing, and retaining effective and collaborative technology experts. Seeking, acquiring, and managing technology resources to support teaching and learning. Collaborating with the administration and other staff to develop short and long-term technology plans and budgets that ensure the continued successful use of technology throughout the district. Plan, develop and maintain data and communication systems to deliver actionable information for classroom and school improvement.

Technology Integration Specialist (2014~2018)

Train staff members one-on-one and in groups on the use of a variety of classroom technology. Instruct students on Digital Citizenship and ensure responsible care and maintenance of technology devices. Routinely survey and assess the school’s technology needs. Directed religious education of K~10 grades and collaborated with teachers and parents in setting result oriented goals.
